50 lbs later

Last week I made my first goal. 50 lbs! :)

That day I weighed myself, I hadn't even realized that I had made it to my goal. It wasn't until a few hours later while driving in my truck that it dawned on me. Haha I was so happy!

Though, I look the same and have a long way to go I'm super proud of myself.

Before....When I first started in January...

and today...

So...yeah a slight difference. Oh wait...That's my confidence. :)

God Bless yall!

S-M-I-L-E

I almost forgot...but I didn't!

Don't forget to SMILE!

CHEESIN!!! :) :) :) :)

Smiles and Love from strings of my heart,
Cynthia

Good cries...

WARNING! This is not your typical blog from me...

I've been down in the dumps the past two days which is not like me at all and I apologize to all my friends and family members for being such a sour puss. Thank you all for still loving me and putting up with my BS.

I'm the biggest girl in terms of emotions. I can cry on demand. lol Movie, music video, song...I think I cried the other day watching Whitney...Whitney! Seriously haha

Well, some times we all need to just get a good cry out. I got mine today. I'm better now and it needed to be done. See, I lost the love of my life 3 years ago overseas...and I'm still not fully ready to get back out there. Like...I say I am but when all is said and done...I chicken out or something happens...which is why I tell people I'm in a relationship with myself. I'm trying to build me back up to become a stronger driven lady that I once was with him. He was what made my heart whole and I miss him dearly.

I know that with time I'll find some one that can't replace him but make me smile like I once did and will light up my world like J did. He would make me feel like I was the only person in a crowded room. I FELT important with him. He made me feel beautiful with out any make up on or fancy clothes. I miss him terribly.

Today, it was overcast in Vegas and days like this make me remember him that much more. I was always the sunny and playfun one and he was the more cloudy and serious one...He could talk for days and I would just listen to him...On our very first date, He took me to the zoo because of a comment I had made on the first night that I had ever met him..."theres a Las Vegas zoo and I need to be there!" haha I wasn't even talking to him and he remembered me saying that to a girlfriend in front of him before we had even spoke to each other. It was so sweet. Well, anyway on the gloomy overcast day, J took me to the zoo. We had the time of our lives even though our LV zoo is a bit of a joke. Seriously, it's quite comical. :) I'll never forget that moment with him and how beautiful he made me feel that day even though it had rained on my hair! LOL!

Even before him and the few boyfriends I had after him...I always got lucky. I was never one to get cheated on or played. No, all of the break ups in my life happened because of mutual things...better off as friends, moved away and long distance just didn't work for us, not ready to move on (on my part :( I'm sorry!) etc. etc. etc. I'm blessed beyond words that God has dealt me a good set of people in my life that have always appreciated and loved me for who I am....and I think that's why I'm scared to bounce back out there again..I don't want to get hurt. I'm not a fan of rejection. Who is? It's scary out there...I don't know how to date. I haven't done it in so long. I feel like a 50 something divorcee when I say that...but seriously LOL I know I eventually have to take the plunge and make myself readily available but for now I think I'm gonna enjoy my friends and family and building the new me.

I think I'm ready for a change in my life and that's gonna take up a lot of my time but I'm excited to find out what it is. I have to discover it first though. :) Scary and exciting all in the same.

I miss my partner in crime. I really do...and I know he would want what's best for me. I do get lonely at times...I'm not gonna lie...I'm human. Last night I could have really used a hug from him. But I'm strong...Without him, I've survived the hardest of times in my life and I believe that in those darkest hours of my life, that's when I was strengthen into who I am today.

I know with time I will be ready to meet someone who can make me feel like a million dollars. :)

Sorry for the more dark blog but these are the reasons why I haven't been myself. And I needed to get out there.

Tomorrow, and the next day and the day after I know I can be the same cheery grateful person that I've been able to be.

Life's a beautiful journey and I'm super thankful for all the things that are in my life...even the not so great ones. :)

Goodnight.

Cynthia

Happy Sunday dolls!

The sun came out to play today! :) The weather has been so strange lately. Windy and cold and rainy...I was on the verge of turning the heaters on the past few nights but since it's been a busy couple of days we really only had to deal with the cold at night so we just packed in extra blankets to keep warm. And it looks like the weather has finally decided to stop being mean and let the sun come out and play. By the way...these kids are so strange these days! They do not come out and play for nothin! Nothin! LOL When I was a kid we were outside 24/7! Okay....from the time school ended till the street lights went on. :) Good ole days...okay random thought of the day! HAHA

Anyway I actually wrote this (like the one you are reading right now) "blog" a few nights ago on my phone while I was waiting for at a doctor's visit and am just now posting it! :) i deleted the intro since I already provided one. lol Okay, Sorry loves. I'm late but here goes!

I have some updates for you guys but first...

Did you guys get some inspiration from my last blog? Spencer Larson inspired me to get my work out on! A few of my friends are even planning a hike for this weekend! :) Hopefully the weather will be kind to us. I do need a tan!

Okay, updates!

I know I don't have any "followers" on here...Well, 3 (ugh sad!) and I appreciate you all but quite a few of you have reached out to me on my email and I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your stories and responses! They mean the world to me and I'm happy and beyond blessed to have you in my life. I got an offer for a job in an email. It's really cool and very exciting and also getting the best of my nerves. :)

There's this man that reached out to me that wants me to be a motivational speaker for his company. It's crazy because when I started my journal I did it so that I could get my message out there that you don't have to be alone when you're going through new journeys. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd be talking for a company (in another country!) about transformations and achieving your goals and dreams. It's crazy to me but thank you for believing in me. I really am touched that you have reached out to me and though I'm nervous and scared about being a motivational speaker...I think it'll be a fun adventure. :)

A few of my friends have asked me to do "vlogs" Video blogs posted on YouTube. I don't know how I feel about this. I barely know how to work this blog LOL so for me to actually post a video on YouTube and be able to edit it and do all those technical things would take me forever. If I get a really high demand for them I will think about it. :)

Carolina...I did not forget about my "haul" that I was suppose to months ago. But...the two holidays that I bought all the decorations for have past. :( I'm sorry! Next time I go on a decorating spree I will for sure snap pics and dedicate a blog just for you my darlin! :)

I had like 8 other things to tell you guys but I can't think of em. They're on my desktop at home. :(

Follow your heart today and be your amazing wonderful self. I have faith in you all that you'll do wonderful beautiful things in the world. Make someone smile today, help a stranger even if it only means opening a door for them...be a kind gentle soul!

Till next time,

Hugs and lots of love!
XOXO

Meet Spencer Larson!

I don't think I've ever mentioned this before but I live in exciting Las Vegas! And everyday Monday through Friday along with 2 million other folks, I drive the long drive to work....It is about 45 minutes of a drive mainly because of traffic. On one of the busiest freeways (in the world) Spencer Larson decided to grab my attention...by getting on a stationary bike on top of a storage unit and riding it to set an example. It sounds kind of strange. At first, It was for me too. We have a lot of advertisements in this town. Billboards are EVERYWHERE! And when I first saw Spencer trotting along on his bike in one spot...I didn't think he was a human LOL I thought he was an advertisement. Then the next day...I'm driving along and see him wave to a guy that honked his horn next to me. I was wondering, what the heck is this guy doing? And then I thought...HOW AWESOME! He gets the best view ever! And he gets to show other people how it is done.

So another day goes by and this time I have my eye out for him. I'm getting closer and closer and I see him. and on the storage unit is a banner....   www.1minuteexercisechallenge.com

HOW DOPE IS THIS DUDE?!? Is my first thought! Let me just tell you it is very hard to grasp my attention longer than a minute. I'm the biggest example of what A-D-D is! I already forgot what I was just typing...it's that serious but 20-30 minutes later as I'm pulling into the drive way of my house I'm already grabbing my phone to see what his website is all about! And here I found his youtube link!

http://youtu.be/nzKA8uQWLJg

He works out for 5 hours a day and all he asks is that you do 5 minutes...not a simple 5 minutes but 5 minutes out of your day to work out in an intense way. That is motivation! On his website, facebook, twitter, and even the few articles that fellow news websites have done on him, he doesn't get too wordy with his goals like most fitness gurus do. He has a goal and is just out there showing people it CAN be done! He wants to make a difference. He's not forcing dreams and goals down your throat but at the same time he does lol I know that doensn't make sense but he doesnt say hes going to do this...HE actually does! He just wants you to put the remote down and work out for 5 minutes doing jumping jacks or squats. I'm going to start following him on youtube so I can get the groove of his simple workouts. I did a combination of a walk/jog tonight for 90 minutes and when I got home did a few of his videos...and I could feel the results! :) I know I'm being silly but honestly! Get up! It's easy.

This guy is REAL! He wants to make a difference so let's help him do it. Because by helping him you are really just helping yourself.

Hugs, Love, and Fitness,
Cynthia :)

Update!

I'm officially off my diet. It's been a good long time since I've been off. I did my maintence that I wanted to do...but I'm still taking it pretty easy! I've cheated a few times in the past 2 weeks lol not gonna deny that but what I consider cheating YOU (yes you) do on a daily basis so...fair! we are even. :)

I've been trying to stay active. I haven't joined a gym or signed up for a bikram class like I told myself I would...but I have been out exploring the world....jogging and walking, mostly walking ;) lol and I am OUT OF SHAPE! Man, I remember when I use to be able to run a mile like it was walking down to the fridge and grabbing a Coca-cola! :) like that? haha

Now...I run for a minute straight and am out of breathe....BUT! I have noticed that since I started this little kick that it has gotten easier to do! :) Nice huh? With time, I know that it will be CAKE to run a mile...maybe even 10! and that is very exciting to look forward to.

I've been feeling more confident in myself and brought my friends back to my world again. I was very sheltered and kept to myself a very long time, not because I didn't want to hang out with my friends but because I didn't want to be Debbie Downer and have my friends feeling sorry on me. So, I'm back out and about with them now. I had an awesome last weekend and every weekend in April is booked and more and more things are getting scheduled into my planner. I'm actually planning a "shin dig" very soon as a matter of fact! :)

so...that is the very boring life of Cynthia. I do want to blog some more because I have something very cool to share! But it's about a man that inspired me today!

So...just wait

Hugs and Love
Cynthia

It has been a long over due minute!

How are you guys? Yeah I know...No one reads this but I don't care I'm saying ello cello anyway!

Blogging will be done tonight! :)

Hugs and Love,
See ya in a min! (A real minute....okay like less than an hour! :) )

haha

Don't let the shit in your past stink up today, tomorrow or the rest of your future. ♥

Oh excuse my french but it needed to be said. Haha <3

Hi Guys,

I'm on a motivational positive kick so I'm gonna throw it out there before I snooze.

Never ever ever let anyone bring you down. No matter who it is...Mom, Dad, Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Brother, Sister...If they have anything crappy to say to you and you're on the tracks of success then keep going. Wave your hand high in the air and say tootle-loo (sp?) haha   No but all jokes aside...If you're doing something in your life that you TRULY feel is RIGHT and you believe in 100%...no 150% then keep going towards it and don't let bashers/haters/mean spirits/negative nancy's stop you! Even if they're related to you. I know that's tough...I've dealt with it my whole life.

It seems like I always let someone in my family stop me from following a dream or goal I had because they perceived it as stupid and brainwashed me into thinking I'm stupid for following it. I'm DONE with that ness. And you should be too! I don't care if you want to join clown school or play a guitar in the middle of the busiest street in your town and live in your car at the same time. You have a dream, reach for it and don't stop reaching until you get there and then once you get there keep reaching higher and higher until you are on top of the world....no on top of the MOON!

There's this really awesome quote out there....I gotta find it but heres what I can vaguely remember from it.

They say you can reach for the sky, but people have already made it to the moon and have proof. <3

And if you don't have a support group to keep you strong, find me...message me, phone me, tweet me, facebook me...whatever I will back you up 100% and be your biggest cheerleader to make sure you achieve all that can be done in your life. Nothing is impossible. Life may be short and there may be a ton of obstacles standing in your way but make it worth the ride! Yee-Haw!

Cheers!

I'm obsessed! Marble Water Nail design! Wha wha?!

Have you guys ever tried to "water marble" your nails!?!

It is so super cool. All you need is

Tape
a cup of water (room temperature)
a bunch of cute nail polishes
q tip but for later
toothpick
nail polish remover
clear coat

I really need to put pics up but for now...

get your tape and tape along the lines of your nail...so the top (above the cuticle) and the left and right sides of your nail bed.

then...get the nail polishes (get like 3 or 4 that match) and open them so theyre readily available.

then put a drop of the nail polish in the water and repeat this step with all the nail polishes....the nail polish will absorb into the water and you'll continue putting the drops of polish in there.

Hurry up and get your toothpick and make a fun design but do this gently as the nail polish is drying because of the water....continue to play with it until you get your desired design

then stick your finger in the water slightly under water.

while you let your finger soak up the beautifulness get your toothpick and swirl it around and lift it up...you will see that all the nail polish is getting lifted from the water and onto the brush.

next take your finger out and viola...pretty nails!

when it dries...take the tape off and if there are any parts where the nail polish reached your skin, gently swab if off with the qtip and nail polish remover.

then get some clear coat and you are ready to go with fun beautiful nails. :)

Have a fun day trying this out! :)

Hugs and Love,
Cynthia

I've been Missing in Action...

Hi bloggers.

I see that I've been missing in action. I haven't picked up any new "followers" or anything but I see that I have a ton of page views...so thank you to whoever you are for viewing my page. Don't be shy, I'd love to say hello and thank you for viewing.

I've been missing in action for a little over a week now. That same day that I wrote the blog about it being such a beautiful day actually ended kind of sour. My dad called me a few hours after I had wrote the blog and informed me that my grandfather had passed. I know that he was very sick and old and in a lot of pain but it struck me and I was shocked. I guess even when the time is near, you're really never prepared for it to happen. RIP Nonno. My father's parents are italian. I missed the funeral and I'm so sad about it. Need to get that passport renewed! So...I took over my parents business while they were away and still managed to go to work every day. It was tough and busy but I managed to do so. It was good for me to keep my mind off of that.

But I'm back! and excited to blog again and get back on track!

I don't really know what kind of stuff I should write about. I know I promised Miss Lopez that I would do a haul on all my holiday DIY stuff that I bought from Target, Walmart, 99 cent store, and Michaels...I will find my camera and get those taken care of. I need to talk about my end results of my HCG diet since it is officially over. and um well, I don't know....Hah

Take Care guys!

HUGS AND LOVE!

It's a beautiful day!

It's so super pretty out! It's 70 degrees where I'm at...where are you at? :) Let's all enjoy our day.

Every one of em is a gift to all...even if sometimes it's disguised as something else.

I'm not working today but got lots to do before my girls night out! :) Sometimes...you just gotta go out and reward yourself!

I bought tons of decorations for St. Patty's day and Easter and need to put them up! Haha I'm slow at this...starting buying everything Wednesday. It'll all be up. Maybe I'll do a "HAUL" blog or a how to on the wreath and baskets I need to make and put together. :)

Well...gonna go soak up some more of this day.

I hope that you all have an amazing day filled with colorful rainbows and butterflies! Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy!

Hugs and Love,
Cynthia

How to deal with HCG Bullys!!!

DO NOT DISCOUNT YOURSELF!

You heard me!

Hi guys! So, I know I mostly jot stuff down about the diet. And my biggest peeve today was something regarding my diet...but something that EVERYONE faces...sometimes everyday!

Haters!

Mine are all over the place! Haha I've actually lost "friends" over my decision to do this diet. Can you believe that? It's Food! It's what everyone gathers around for...deal with it! I'm not gonna go into detail about it...However, we all have em!

So...Here's a few good tips about closing them out...Because even though you want to say nasty things back but you are the bigger person (spiritually!!! LOL) and bit  your lip and not say anything...Some times we carry a lot of hot air and eventually like a balloon we burst! And look redonk!

Ok...so you have haters at work/school...I know you do...because I do! That's the number 1 place you have them at! So...the oldest trick in the world...focus on your work. Smile Smile Smile. Say positive happy things. Just do it! They'll eventually have to back away. They might go down the hall or in another place where you can't hear em...but at least they're not ruining your awesome self!

Haters are threatened by others who follow their goals and dreams...because they want to also but don't know how to do it so by coping with it...they pick on you and test your ability in whatever it is your doing and they're rooting for you to fail. Even if these haters call you friends...it's better that you realize they hate on ya...because you don't want a friend that wants you to fail. That's awful! We should all be cheering on our fellow amigos to strive in life and make their dreams and goals a reality.

Ok...Number 2? Haha

Make friends with fellow smilers or dream searchers...they're everywhere! You just have to open up and find them. I bet you even have some in  your work! They're hiding but you can find good ones! I did! :) Honestly, these are the people that you need because when your hater is bashing on you and you can't just put your hands over your hears and shout "BLAH BLAH BLAH I CANT HEAR YOU!" Those people are gonna be the ones to void negative nancys out of your mind and focus on the better you!

Number 3...

Focus on your work! Whether it's your job or school...you're there for a reason. You have to commit to at least 5-8 hours of it the majority of the week. Let those Haters fill time up in their day to worry about what you're doing...while you get work done! Ever notice how most of the time, the ones that are your fellow "HATERS" are the ones that always seem to snitch on someone? Steer clear of those clowns. They're not usually the funny clowns either.

Number 4...

It's kind of like sports/hobbies/activties whatever it is you enjoy..After all, it is a dream/goal you're chasing right? Find the top 5 things that are the greatest about whatever it is you're doing.

HCG

1. Instant gratification
2. Lifestyle change
3. Metabolism changes
4. Many options...Injections/Drops/Sprays
5. 26 days/40 days whatever you'd like

Focus on em. If they shut them down...then whatever. They were gonna shut down whatever came out of your mouth anyway but at least you covered the spread. Just sayin!

and the best one...

Number 5

Stick to whatever goal it is in your life and when you're at the finish line and have fans cheering for you...they'll see!

Show em up!

Hugs and Smiles and lots of dreams,

Cynthia xoxo

P.S

You can do anything in this whole big old world if you keep your mind on it and BELIEVE BELIEVE BELIEVE in yourself!

Happy LOVE DAY! No matter who you are...

Spreaddd the LOVE!

Valentine's are not just for the couples in the world. Nope. You can be...married, dating, fwb, swingers, hook ups (ok maybe not haaa) or just single.....whatever the case may be....EMBRACE it. Own who you are and love all those around you.

I've been single for a few years now and Valentine's day is still one of my favorite holidays. I love all holidays but...moving on!

Don't be a downer just because a day on your calendar is reserved for a box of chocolates and red roses. Nope, you got friends? Tell em you love em. You got family? Send some hugs. Co-workers? Valentine day cards! I whipped out some old school Disney Princess cards for my co-workers...and they LOVED em!

It's not a "hallmark" holiday. It's about recognizing that Love is suppose to shared every day but sometimes we lose sight of that...and it's right there in front of our silly busy little faces...which is why February 14th is marked on your calendar to remind you to send a hug to someone that you love and adore.

Single peeps! So so important...

Don't have a valentine? All your friends taken? That's okay! Share the day with yourself! Draw a bath, read a good favorite book or magazine. Treat yourself to something delicious...I had a grapefruit! haha Call your grandmother or aunt or whoever and say...I LOVE YOU! Put lipstick on...do whatever it is that makes you feel the most loved by..the most important person ever! Yourself!

I love and feel so blessed to have every person in my life that I do. Each day is a gift and sometimes we do take that for granted. Let's not make it a habit. Always count your blessings. Always spread love around to all. Always smile to people...even strangers (that's my fav!) Make someone's day brighter. That's what makes your days less hectic and at the end of the day you will feel good about yourself.

Hugs, Love, and lipstick red kisses

Buddies make everything easier!

Try to team up with your fellow pals to help you with whatever weight loss goal. I have a bunch of HCG buddies. I've honestly met the majority of them through the internet! Twitter was a great app to have when I first started this diet. Hi Kris! She is my HCG inspiration! :)

Tonight, my mechanic came over to help one of my friends out. While we waited, she said that my living room was the perfect size for the two of us to work out in...and since we're not in top notch shape like we once were...We we're like ahhhh perfect! We can p90x it here or insanity or ZUMBA ZUMBA! Hah! And...best part...no gym fees! I'm such a cheapie. I'll try to avoid paying for any kind of extra silly fees. :)

So...grab a friend and do the zumba!

Plus...just when you are about to give up...you got a friend that's going to remind you what you signed up for on day 1!

P.S I'm such a hardass when it comes to this!

If you want pizza, I will pretend something not attractive is on your pizza and try to sell it to you. Yep!

:D

Okay, loves and hugs!

Whatever makes you feel pretty :)

This morning I was so bummed when I didn't get to wake up early and get cute...even though it's just for work and no one would notice...I would!

I got a haircut a few weeks back and I have yet to curl my brand new layers! I had a craving to do it last night but it was too late...about this time actually! Haha and so today after work I went all out...

as I type this out...It's 12:47am I have velcro curlers in my hair...a bleach whitening tray in my mouth and acne medication mask on my well..blemishes. Haha I want to feel cute. I don't mind if no one thinks so...what's important is HOW YOU FEEL!

Do whatever it is to make you feel that extra ounce of special. Curl your hair or wear that hairbow headband, favorite necklace, eye shadow, whatever it is....do it! You get 24 hours every day...make them pretty!

Lots of hugs and love to you all!

XOXO

Skeptical about trying HCG? or any weight loss program? READ AWAY PLEASE!!!

Hi Guys! It's been a while so I figured I would update real quick on how I'm doing!

It's day 21 and so far I have lost a total of 21.79 lbs!!!! I got on the scale today and I haven't weighed that much in a very long time. I know that's kinda weird cause it's only 20 something lbs but over the past few years...the numbers increased...not decreased...and we are turning back time...on the scale!

If you guys went to super bowl parties this weekend and didn't cheat...I praise you! It's so incredibly tough to see all your friends eating yummy chicken wings and greasy pizza only to feel obligation and indulge. It's also kinda...ballsy. Is that how you spell the word? haha It takes a lot of self pride. It happened to me this weekend.  And I had a bbq and a super bowl party....temptation was all over the place this weekend!

Homie: Cynthia, have a slice!
Me: I'm good thanks!
Homie: C'mon! Skip dinner and have a slice!
Me: No really...I'm actually not hungry (I was! LOL)

This went on for a few minutes and other people tuned in and told me to have a slice. I wanted the slice of pizze so badly! I didn't though. Lately, with yummy fatty foods I have replaced them with things that sound awful...like with the cupcakes that were at the office last week...I told myself over and over again that a really annoying co-worker peed on the cupcakes....and suddenly that craving went away! On the other hand, with the pizza I just pictured my arteries clogging up and me dying a very painful death. Haha That may be the best thing thats ever happened...because I no longer want pizza...not even when I'm off the diet...and hello I am italian! That's just crazy!

But anyway...The thing that is the most motivating in terms of cravings and temptations is seeing that number decrease every morning! Weigh yourself daily or weekly to keep you motivated! I reccommend daily...sometimes the number is the same but it keeps you going because very rarely does the number increase. (Hey I said rarely) so...Weigh yourself! When you see the numbers that will keep ya going...and then when  you can feel clothes get loose...that's an even bigger step to keep on going. I noticed both this weekend!

It's such a great feeling! Self motivation! And better than any self help book! Seriously...It makes you happy for the rest of the day!

Hugs and Love,
Cynthia

The grass is always greener...

where you water it!

Another thing I realized tonight. We always say the grass is greener on the other side...but the real problem is that we forgot to smell the roses! And the roses are everywhere! You just gotta OPEN YOUR EYES! :)

LOVE YOU
Cynthia

Cheating death

Six years ago today I was in a really bad car accident...that changed my life for the better.

I SHOULD HAVE DIED! Police have no idea how I survived it. Though we had our differences, my dad was the first to know about it and showed up immediately. I was being taken away to the ER and while I was drifting away from the world...my dad was being shown what happened during my accident. 4 inches and I would have flown out the window...in fact my hair was ripped from my head and was stuck in between the door handle. He was really scared for me.
I remember being in the paramedic with the super cute guy (Hi where ever you are!) and drifting off....I remember it being very white like a very bright room with freshly painted walls and memories past me by...at the end of what felt like the longest dream ever...I remember having a conversation with someone and they asked me, "are you proud of yourself?" and I wasn't. I responded to whoever it was in my dream and said, "No I'm not! I need to do bigger and better things with my life, but if today were my last day I think I'd die content with what life brought me." And I guess content was not the correct answer to his question because a blurry very cute paramedic face showed up as I was about to shut out. "Cynthia? Cynthia?" I stared at him for a long moment and he said, "Phew, thought I lost ya! Don't worry! We are almost to the hospital and we have really great doctors that will take care of you! I promise!"

He held up to his promise. Those doctors, nurses, staff members, and eventually physical therapists really helped me through that time in my life. I didn't have insurance at the time and I was in debt. Making 8 bucks an hr at the gap..you get the picture...I was not doing so well.
I had to be put on bed rest for a really long time...I cut it short after a month. Turns out when life is passing you by while you're in bed....You fight to live! I remember being in that bed, getting fed jello by my brother...oh how fun that was! and having the occasional visitor. I had a lot of time to think about my life. What I had done, Where I was at, What was next? I didn't know. I still don't...but I know that whoever I was having that conversation with...gave me that second chance. I wasn't ready to be taken from the world that cold January night.

I changed my ways. Stopped hanging out with the crowd that was bringing me down all the time. I got involved with my family and shaped up quick. I'm doing better but I still have all kinds of dreams and goals that I'd like to achieve.

I was given a second chance and I thank the heavenly stars every chance I get for it. I'm beyond blessed to have this life!

Let's do something with our lives. Let's not let them pass us by. I'm 27 and just yesterday I remember blowing 16 candles out on the beautiful sweet sixteen birthday cake! It was just a blink of an eye ago! So it's short but let's make it worth the ride!

Hugs and Love,
Cynthia

9.79 So cray!

Hi Sexy people!

So...I just wanted to put something down in this little guy. :) Today was day 5...I do my weigh in's in the morning...Mon-Fri its pretty early...anywhere from 5:30 am-7am ish and today I got on the scale and the numbers do not lie! 9.79 lbs! I could make it easy and say 10 but I don't want to! :) 9.79 is so incredible and in 5 days. I'm amazed at myself and how quickly the lbs came off this week...and it wasn't easy but at the same time it was. Keep your mouth shut! LOL Just jokes, but in all seriousness I had a great week. I struggled and still am with cravings but replacing them with sorbet or oranges has really helped. What do you guys do to suppress your craving?

At the job today there was birthday cake...that I bought! That was tough! And it was so pretty and everyone talked about how super yummy it was. But...I stayed strong! Even though people tried to peer pressure me to have some I steered clear. Aww!

Happy Friday!

Attention all HCG dieters!

Hi GUYS! :)

So very cool thing I am doing as I write this! I am making strawberry sorbet! And the best part is 1. I can eat it! and 2. It's HCG Approved!!! What?!?! Yes

Here is my recipe!

You will need
1 lb of frozen strawberries or fresh (i used frozen)
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 1/3 cup of STEVIA
3/4 cup of water
To begin...start by taking the stevia and water in a pot. once it starts to boil...turn the stove off! and let it sit...stir all those little snow flurrie things out! :)

then get your blender out and blend the strawberries and lemon juice...you may need to do this twice...I did. Let it churn into a nice blended "puree"

You will then need to combine your strawberries and steviawater :)

and stick it in the ice cream maker!

I borrowed my mom's ice cream maker and I'm seriously considering buying one just like it! It's a cuisinart...and I  actually bought her this a year or so ago for Mother's day! Best invention ever!!!

I like it because it only takes 20 mins! Seriously...when we were kids..my mom and I would always make sorbet and it took forever on that ice cream maker!

I think I'll have to add to my calorie journal tonight cause I know I'm gonna want to taste this deliciousness!

You're welcome!!

If you decide to make it...let me know how it turns out!

Love, Hugs and Sorbet!

HCG Day 2

Today went well. I haven't "added my calories" or wrote anything down in my "diet journal" yet but I just wanted to make it a point to write in my new adventure. I don't know where this will take me. However, I want to put my words out to you all! I love inspirational quotes or role models that we can look up to and I want to find a place online where we can all go and lean on one another. A place online where we can all go for a little push! I'm not even just talking about weight loss here! I'm talking about people that want to find some inspiration in their life and don't know where to find the motivation to do it!

I know there are so many folks out there that are in a slump. They don't know where to go to follow their dreams and thats not always an easy conversation to have with someone.

So...If there is anyone out there that wants to lose weight or quit smoking or stop biting their nails...or even bigger things to accomplish like going back to school again or wanting to open up their own company...whatever it may be...and you just need a place to come to...welcome!

Like I said...I don't know if anyone will see this or take me seriously...but I want to open myself to you all. Everyone deserves to have their dream come true! Sometimes we just need that extra boost up to the steps of finding them!

I hope that we can all have wonderful dreams and goals and inspiration from each other in finding them!

Love, Hugs, and Smiles!
Cynthia

P.S what do you want out of your life? :)

HCG day 1

Hi guys! I promise I'll make this a cute blogspot soon! I actually don't have any friends on this yet and haven't even told anyone about it yet! HAHA So Hi Cynthia! :D

I just wanted to write on here before I head to bed.

Today was Day 1 of HCG 500 calories and I was a bad girl today! I did not cheat. I had very healthy foods but somehow I was 103 calories over the 500 calorie goal. I can't be mad at that though. Last time my first day was awful! I cheated...then threw it up and had a massive headache. So, al though I was very hungry today...and still am! I think today went pretty well!

I wasn't mentally prepared this time around so there were times when I was about to cheat and didn't even realize it. Like when one of my co workers was handing out chocolate...I was like ooo! and then as I was about to stick it in my mouth...I said outloud wait! what am I doing!?!? :) Very proud! Most would have just ate it. Not me! You're only cheating yourself!!!

I did not get any sleep last night so I'm basically a walking zombie. I'm gonna go to bed...EARLY! YAY! :)

Ny ny!

Sweet dreams my beautiful butterflies! :)

Birthday lovin's :)

My birthday week just ended!

On to the rest of the year! :)

I'm not one of those people that MUST make it a point to tell everyone that it's their birthday and have a huge celebration! I'm quite the opposite. For some reason, I don't like the attention one gets on birthdays! HAHA! Something about a group of people standing around you in a circle singing Happy Birthday has always been very uncomfortable. I'm not shy or anything. I can get up and do a speech in front of a room and nail like a pro but for some reason...the happy birthday song makes me incredibly uncomfortable. LOL! My family and most of my friends know this and I think they secretly enjoy it. OOOOH! One thing I despise more than friends and family singing it....is when the restaurant sings it. SOOOO AWKWARD!! haha thank goodness that didn't happen this past week.

and I typically do not celebrate my birthday at all. 2 years ago I actually went to a funeral on my birthday and it was a very bittersweet day for me. RIP mama Josie! :) Last year, I spent my birthday at Lowes buying home stuff. Haha! Just to give ya examples of my day...I think everyone gets it though. I just dont.

Well....this year I wanted to be surrounded around happiness. And MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Some may know that I am on a special diet called the HCG. It's a crazy diet and I wouldn't recommend anyone trying it if they only need to lose 5 lbs or so. I am doing it because I want to be thin and feel great about myself again. Anyway...thats a whole other topic....The first 2 days of the diet...you get to do what is called a LOAD UP! You get to eat/drink whatever you want! And someone told me the more you consume during those 2 days...the more you lose during the actual diet...so I try to EAT too much when I'm on it. My favorite foods and snacks and just JUNK! haha So...my really wonderful beautiful friend Kathy decided to take me and her daughter out (Her birthday was a week before mine) out for dinner! Very kind of her! We went to alehouse at had a stellar time! Actually...back up! We went to alehouse and since the fights and games and everything was on...we were told it was a 2 hour wait...so we went shopping! :D We got a lot of cool things. Sephora! Victoria's secret! :) just fun girls time! :D Aw man...we didn't make it to san rio!!!!! Grr..next time!

Dinner was a blast! I got my fav chicken strips! LOL so boring right? I love em! Then we decided to go to serendipity at Forum. And if you guys have ever been there...You should all know that it is a maze to get there....In fact, by the time we did get there...we had to leave! haha!

we ran into tourists on the way....while we were looking at the map of the casino...these man approached us and asked to take our photo. What the heck!?! So we got to talking and then they ended up singing Happy Birthday to me in the middle of Forum shops! So humilating!!! haha and We got a photo. I'll put in the blog so you guys can see how uncomfortable I look haha They both kissed me on the cheek. Very nice men from Canada and one of them is actually an FB friend. hi new friend if you can see this! haha so I got to hear the birthday song a few times this year...Gr whatevs.

Anyway I had a really amazing time with Kathy and her beautiful daughter! They're such wonderful ladies and so glad to have them in my life. They'll always have a special happy spot in my heart! :)

Ohhh haha Friday night was also very cool! I went out with my family to an Ethopian restaurant and if you guys have never gone to one...I kinda recommend it! It just brings a group of people together...You have to order your stuff and then they bring it out on a huge tray and you share it. I think I have a picture of that as well. I will post that too! :) I wasnt crazy about the food...but the experience was fun. Plus..I was with my family...and I just adore each one of them to pieces! Earlier that day...my parents got their citizenship! Such a proud moment in my life. It was like I was attending their graduation or something. So happy! :)

So we ended up downtown and had a good ole jolly time as well! :)

and Today (Sunday) I chilled! Because of the diet...I tried to eat all my favs and ended up being in a "food coma" so I didnt even eat dinner...and as i type this it is now 12:25 in the morning...I'm still stuffed from everything this weekend. So I was a very lazy larry today on a very lazy sunday! :)

ALSO! Geez...I suck at goodbyes!

My coworkers are so amazing! And I've never felt more love from a company ever! They bought me a very beautiful cake...wish I would have gotten a pic! :( and they bought me flowers...and presents and they got to sing happy birthday too! haha It was such a happy day even though i've been sick the past week. Gr. go away sickies!

Anyway...I'm super blessed and so grateful to have everyone in my life. You all made me feel so special and I love you all so very much! :)

Hugs and Love!

P.S I'm new to this blog computer stuff and have no idea how to make the font look like all the other blogs! HAHA! Sorry!

Hi Guys!

Welcome to my little bloggy! I am so happy you are reading this! I know that sounds corky because we probably don't know each other but I wanted to make this for inspirational purposes. I am hoping that I can create a place where anyone that wants inspiration can come to and find something.

I have already wrote up a few things this week. I'm gonna go ahead and post them! I was a bit busy and didn't have time to actually create a blog so I just wrote them down.

Thanks for reading and welcome to my blog!

Hugs and Love
